L'Atalante
Synopsis
A village woman, Juliette marries a barge skipper Jean and joins him and his crew as they travel the rivers of France on the barge L'Atalante.
While initially idyllic, tension with the rest of the crew starts, especially with Père Jules, an older eccentric sailor who have travlled the world and loves cats. Juliette softens up to Père when she discovers his softer and funnier side, but despite there being no question of romance, Jean loses his temperament when he finds her in Père’s cabin and wrecks it.
